Sahiwal cow is a dairy cow with origins in the Sahiwal district of Punjab province in Pakistan. This cow can be identified by the color, which can range from reddish brown to red. There is a white shade on the neck in varying amount in every cow. It is highly demanded in India and other parts of the world, because of good temperament, high milk yields, ease of calving, longevity, reproducing for up to 2 years. This cow can tolerate bloat & heat, and resist drought, tick and parasites internally and externally. A calf of Sahiwal cow is fast-growing calf. Both, cow and calf can withstand unfavorable climatic condition.
